Obituary for Andrew Francis Kapalko

Andrew Francis  Kapalko
Andrew Francis Kapalko, 63 passed away unexpectedly at his resident, September 1, 2017.

He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in criminal justice; after graduation he joined the Penn State campus police. He moved to Anchorage Alaska where he became a probation officer for the state of Alaska. Shortly after moving to Anchorage Alaska, Andy earned a promotion to a small village named Kotzebue, which was 50 miles north of the Arctic Circle. There he was responsible for that village as well as several of the surrounding villages. After 25 years with the State of Alaska he retired to Florida to be near family and enjoy the warmth and sunshine of Florida.

Andy is preceded in death by his father Clement Kapalko.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather Evelyn and Leonard Boisvert, his brother Dennis Kapalko (Linda), sister his Susan Farmer (Steve), 2 nieces, 1 nephew, a great niece and nephew.

In lieu of flowers please donate in Andy’s name to either of his favorite charities: Halifax Humane Society in Daytona Beach Florida or to Reverend Charles Vanorsdale at FGCC Community Center, 159 N Gaines St.,Oak Hill, Fl 32759.

A graveside service will be held for Andy for the family on September 26, 2017 at the Luthern Cemetery, 101 Chalk Hill, Ohiopyle Rd, Ohiopyle, Pa. 15470.

Andy love, kindness, and generosity will be missed by all.
