Obituary for Wesley Alan McCartney

Wesley Alan McCartney
WESLEY ALAN MCCARTNEY

Wesley (Wes) McCartney, 70, Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on July 21, 2017 after a hard-fought battle against metastatic NSCLC. Wes was born August 3, 1946 to Wallace and Regina McCartney in Connellsville, PA. He attended school in Ohio. His main order of business was banking in the Huron, Sandusky and Berlin Heights area except for a four-year break while serving in the USAF from 1966 through 1969.

Wes is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Wally and Roger, and sister, Kathy. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, an aunt and uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.

At the age of 40, when life was easy and carefree, Wes met his wife, Patricia, with whom he has spent the last 30 years continuing to enjoy life. After relocating to Florida in 1987, he started a new career driving non-emergency transportation. He now had a new audience for his stories, but he was also a good listener.
Goodbye for now to a wonderful husband, a friend to many, and a man with a great sense of humor and never-ending stories.

If you would like to make a donation in memory of Wes, please consider the American Cancer Society.
