Sylvia Mae  Hoggarth
Sylvia Mae (Harvey) Hoggarth, 84, of South Daytona, Florida passed away peacefully in her home on September 4, 2016. She was born on December 17, 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts, daughter to Edward and Helen (Berg) Harvey, and had lived in Mendon, Massachusetts most of her life before retiring and moving to South Daytona in 1989.
For over twenty years, and following in the footsteps of her mother, she was employed at the Ledges in Hopedale, Massachusetts where she worked as a cook for exceptional children with special needs. She was a long time member of the Unitarian Congregation of Mendon. She loved and was dedicated to her family; she enjoyed cooking (was affectionately known as apronlady), crocheting, knitting and surfing the web.
She is survived by her beloved lifetime husband, Robert John Hoggarth; four children, Gary (Dawn) Hoggarth, Patricia (Alan) Harnois, Mary Anne (Donald) Bishop, and Linda (Vincent) Watts; three siblings, Frederick Harvey, Sandra Neely and Roger Harvey; eight grandchildren, Ryan Hoggarth, Alan Harnois, Brandon Harnois, Zachary Bishop, Cody Bishop, Christopher Watts, Nicholas Watts and Tanya Douillette; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased in death by her sister, Patricia Bianchi, and her brother, Gilbert Harvey.

A private family burial service will be held at the convenience of the family in Swan Dale Cemetery located in Mendon, Massachusetts.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Greater Milford Alzheimer’s Alliance, 78 High Street, Milford, MA 01757.
